My business blog is dedicated to my favorite hobby, photography! My love of photography started a long time ago and has grown into something magical and will continue to grow as I continue to learn. Since having kids, I never want to miss a moment so I take a camera with me everywhere. Pictures tell a story and they are memories that never fade. Everyone has a story to tell and I would love to help tell your story by capturing your personality and preserving your memories for generations to come, through my lens.My style is creative, fun, unique and candid. I don't like the "say cheese" photos.
My favorite photos are the ones that you are not paying attention to me and where you are most relaxed and comfortable. I will have you kiss, smile, laugh, be serious, and try to just have a good time. I believe that the mood you are in for picture day shows through your photos. So even though picture days are the hardest day and stressful, you totally need to try to come happy and relaxed. That way the stress doesn't show in your face and you will love your photos. My goal is for you to LOVE the photos and want to hang them on your wall, scrapbook them, make cards with them and show everyone what a fun time you had and make the memories be forever! Picture's do say a thousand words!
I have been featured and published in a book for winning the 2010 best photo of the year award, I am a finalist for a magazine for another publication in 2011. I also have been featured photographing for the arts in SLC, designing thier press posters and ads.
Meet Michael Bateman. His photography skills are amazing. He has retired from the work and does this as his hobby now. He started out with film and has moved into the digital world. I have hired him on as my second hand man because he is willing to be my mentor as well as get us jobs to grow my business. He was a freelance photographer for several years and has worked for Ozzie's 30 minute photo, Eagle newspapers, location and studio portraits, weddings, model portfolios, athletics, Jazz girl dancers, boudoir, and school dances. Promotional work for Black belt Institute martial arts school and Shriner's clowns. He has worked in B/W darkroom. He is a skilled photo shop guru and computer engineer.
What to wear: Something you love! Coordinate colors and wear your personal style. I love to see who you really are. Change your clothes, naked babies, hats, or different shoes. Bring props that show who you are or what you love to do. Then in 10 years you can see who you use to be and remember those moments.
I have the most wonderful family ever! They support me 110% so that I can do what I love to do and stay at home with my kids. I have 4 boys and the best husband ever! He supports me and is the most incredible father to these special boys. I am truly blessed for everything God has given me. I have a close relationship with my Heavenly Father and I am passionate about what I do.
